I can't exactly say that I <enjoyed> it, but that's how things are right now. FWIW, we're done with the stock market. We've been talking to some experts and have found safe places for what investments we have. Come Friday, we'll be "dusting off our sandals" as we leave the insane market. We're retired and just can't put up with his shit anymore.
I did the same thing yesterday. I sold off all of my American stocks, not that I had that much, and reinvested in a safer commodity.
Even though Trump backed out yesterday, the damage is done. All we can do now is brace ourselves for the recession that's coming. I don't care what they say, it's coming. Once the stores of materials that companies have stockpiled to date, run out, the squeeze will be on for the American consumers in earnest. I give the economy about four to six months at best, before things get bad. There are predictions out that it will be as bad as or worse than 2008.
Along with everything else Trump is doing, the end of the empire is here. Now we try to stop them from turning the U.S. into another authoritarian dictatorship.
I'm not certain it will take that long. I think the tech companies, aerospace, automakers, appliance manufacturers, will be the first to take brutal hits. Beware: dystopia coming.
