The Village Oak Tree Newsletter

The Fate of the American Empire is at Stake

Céad Fáilte

A thousand Welcomes to The Village Oak Tree for May 29th, 2024

Thank you to everyone who reads these newsletters and for your support as I try my best to bring you something worthwhile to make you think a little bit every week.

I thought I would have another interview lined up this week but my guests, who asked to be on the show, are being a little slow about scheduling a date and time. So, until I finally get them on here, I have another commentary about the empire of the United States and its slow fade into the dust of history.

This week’s commentary follows the U.S. Memorial Day holiday, where we honor all veterans who sacrificed their lives for the American empire. There are numerous topics on the agenda, with the primary focus being the looming economic downturn as the commercial real estate market is predicted to plummet in the next few years. Tune in as I explore the potential for a crisis akin to 2008 and examine the morality, or the apparent absence thereof, of the U.S. government.

This podcast runs a little over a half hour as I have a lot to offer with regard to how the American empire may finally come to an inglorious end as we know it now.

If anyone has been tuning in, I have talked about in previous podcasts about how the Chinese and Russians are putting together the BRICS alliance to replace the G7, with more and more countries requesting to sign on. The world may see a large list of new members come October when they have their world conference.

Not only that, the war in Ukraine is reaching a turning point that could make or break the U.S. and NATO very soon. If this latest push to convince the Ukrainians to launch more strikes into Mother Russia gets a green light from the U.S. and European war hawks, we very well could have another global war in Europe.

As I also talk about in the podcast, the U.S. Navy was largely a no-show in the news when China staged their huge military training drill around Taiwan last week. The only mention about the U.S. in the news was the impending visits by U.S. congressional delegates to reassure the new government that they still support them. Where was the mighty U.S. Navy? I am sure there were plenty of submarines watching but we’ll never know, will we.

My main topic this week is the impending commercial real estate collapse in the United States. If you think the sub-prime home mortgage disaster of 2008 was a bad thing, this will be a repeat on steroids. I have been watching this myself for a couple of years and now I am finding more financial experts that are warning us about this. If you have any assets or investments in commercial real estate, they are advising everyone to get out now, while you still can.

I also have something to say about Palestine statehood. Mostly about how three countries are doing the right thing and the rest who won’t. Like Denmark. The tide of public opinion is turning away from the U.S. now and it is not likely to come back, ever. The U.S. can do what is morally right and reverse course to keep what little integrity it has left but regaining what is lost? It’s gone, sorry.

I have a lot to say about our idiotic elected officials who want to start WWIII over nothing but their false air of superiority. They are courting the Canadians now for raw materials that they can’t get from the Chinese anymore because of the new tariffs. I hope the Canadians charge them double what the Chinese would have charged. Serves the Military Industrial Complex right. Idiots.

In the second half, I give a little history lesson about American imperialism over the last fifty years and how that is working out for the average citizens in 2024. Research shows that over 78% of the U.S. population is now living paycheck to paycheck because of these stupid politicians who are too busy fighting about oversized fake eyelashes on the congressional floor. And going up to the New York courthouse to have their picture taken as backdrop for Donald Trump when he exits the court.

I couldn’t help but talk about the war in Gaza with all of the new stories coming out this weekend and weekdays after. The Hamas rocket attack on Tel Aviv and the ‘accidental’ bombing of the refugee camp and artillery shelling of the Kuwait Hospital in Rafah, which killed two doctors and closed the hospital.

My last few minutes are spent telling everyone that America was never great. The U.S. government has been lying, cheating, stealing and murdering people since there were just a fledgling British colony.

But, we can change that by voting out all of the lunatics who only want social media attention and want to start wars over trade or just plain hubris. The United States is finally being taken to account for trying to bully the rest of the world into following them off the cliff.

Click the video link above to watch the whole show. I offer a lot more detail than the summary I provided here in this newsletter. If you don’t have time as you read this, you can watch it on YouTube, or listen to it on all major mobile podcasts apps at a later time.

I don’t have anything else for you this week other than to ask you to tune in again next week as I now will have a conversation about world events with none other than our Medium friend Mitch. After I posted this podcast episode, he reached out this afternoon and agreed to have a sit down with me this weekend to talk about “All Things Considered”, to quote a line from NPR.

I am still waiting to hear from our English friend, Adebayo Adeniran, about his offer to be a guest someday. Given how outspoken he is on politics, mostly British, I am looking forward to talking to him soon. He may be busy with all of the fuss about the national elections coming up soon there in Merry ‘ole England.

I wish everyone a good week ahead and prayers for the Ukrainians and the Palestinians. Maybe someone will do the right thing soon and make an end to all of this madness. Sláinte

Thank you for allowing me into your lives today. I hope you you will return again next week for another episode of The Village Oak Tree.

As a Seanchaí, I hope you will continue to let me come to your village to bring you some news from the world outside that might make you think a wee bit.

Please share this podcast with your friends and relations. The more you share, the more we can convince enough people to make the world a better place to live in.

As I say good bye this week, I wish to leave you with this Irish blessing as you go about your day. “May your hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in want” Slán go fóill.

T. Ó Domhnaill — Gaelic Seanchaí
