Welcome to The Village Oak Tree

Another wild week in the news around the world. I am afraid most of it is bad.

The only good news is the V.P. pick for the democrats. The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, is someone I would vote for. But then, I am biased a bit because he is a retired Army National Guard command sergeant major. No one gets that far in the enlisted ranks of anyone’s army without having exceptional leadership skills.

The fact that he looks like a really great family man helps as well. Something V.P. Harris is struggling with. She comes across as more of a corporate lawyer type than a family orientated candidate. Oh wait, she is a corporate lawyer and not exactly a blue jeans and tee shirt mom. Maybe that’s why she picked him. She needed someone to soften the corporate shark image she gives off.

Watch the video commentary where I don’t pull any punches and say it like it is. No favorites, although maybe a soft touch for the CSM.

I unashamedly bash the United States once again. From Trump to Harris, to calling out the U.S. and certain government officials as war criminals and beyond. I do use some military grade language in my commentary and, as usual, Michael Campi’s ongoing dystopian fiction is full of it. But, it is a part of what make his story so in your face.

I encourage every adult to watch the video as I am not going to go into to much more detail about what is in it. Most of what I talk about is front page news right now anyway. I am just not as nice in talking about it as the suits at the anchor desks on the mainstream news channels.

One thing I will bring up here that is in the video. And yes, I mean to scare you.

Last week, my foreign born wife and I stepped out to handle an errand. Where we were going, she wouldn’t need to present any form of government I.D. but I admonished her for forgetting such a small thing because, here in the U.S., especially now with the immigration riots taking place in England and Belfast, Northern Ireland, if a zealous police officer were to decide that to pull us over for any reason, legal or not, and she didn’t have any type of government I.D. on her, they have the authority to take her into custody and report her to Homeland Security as a possible illegal alien without any I.D. Even though it is in her purse at home.

It is not as prevalent where I currently live but if you are foreign born, living in a MAGA republican controlled state, such as Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Idaho or another similar state, this happens all the time. As I mention in the commentary, if a MAGA cop should take a dislike to you for the slightest reason, your papers could disappear and it will be up to you to hire a lawyer to sort it out.

This is not fiction. This happens rather regularly in certain states. More so in Texas, Arizona and Florida. This is why so many immigrants are leaving these states. The wealthier ones are returning home or leaving for a better place to live. The U.S. is not safe for immigrants anymore.

Imagine what is going to happen if Trump is elected again and he sends his Homeland Security militias out to ‘round up’ millions of illegal aliens? If you feel threatened now, wait until his squads come to your neighborhood. Ethnicity will not save you. He won’t play favorites between the Asians, Africans, Muslims or Latinos. If you are picked up and charged with being in the country illegally, your nationality will not save you.

The MAGA people want to revert the country back to a mostly white, descended from European population who are in charge over everyone else allowed to remain in the country.

While my wife has her green card, she is from China. If she gets picked up, it will cost me a lot of money in immigration lawyer fees to bring her home. I am under no illusions about the direction the United States is going with this.

Will a Harris/Walz democrat administration change that? Did Biden change that? Think about it. The United States is becoming a very dangerous place to live for some people. It will get worse. Biden has just said in the news today that he is very worried about riots if Trump loses in November.

We have what is currently going on around London as an example of what that could look like. January 6, 2021 will look like a peaceful sit in compared to that.

Here are some of the articles I used as references for my commentary today. Read and weep.

That’s all I have for everyone in this midweek newsletter. With everything changing rapidly around the world every day now, what I talk about here will be old news by the weekend.

Next Wednesday, I have an interview scheduled with a U.S. Marine veteran, turned entrepreneur. We will be talking about military transitions from active duty and other veterans topics. Much softer than all of this chaos around us right now.

I look forward to scaring everyone again next weekend with a Sunday edition. Sláinte

As I say good bye this week, I wish to leave you with this Irish blessing as you go about your day. “May your hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in want” Slán go fóill.
